The Simon Holland Cemetery 
Located on North Carolina Highway 581 in Wayne County about one mile north of Pinkney. (Referred to as cemetery number 67 in the Wayne County Historical Association book, Gravestone Inscriptions.)

Bettie Ellen Edgerton, wife of Murray Manning.  She is daughter of Elizabeth Bettie Holland who is the daughter of Woodard D. Holland and Celia.  

Hilliard Brown, b. 3-31-1870; d. 10-3-1925 
This is the husband of Bethany Mamie Holland, daughter of Richard W. Holland and Bethany Barnes

Richard Ashley Brown is the son of Hillard Brown and Bethany Mamie Holland, daughter of Richard W. Holland

This is Inez Parrish, wife of Richard Ashley Brown who is the son of Hillard Brown and Bethany Mamie Holland.

Zena S. Langley, b. 12-23-1889; d. 4-13-1973 
This is the daughter of Nancy Holland, daughter of Absalom Holland and Nancy Hales.

Madie W. Langley, b. 12-30-1898; d. 
Could this be another daughter of Nancy Holland who is the daughter of Absalom Holland and Nancy Hales?   

William D. Williams, b. 8-30-1871; d. 6-5-1940 
This is probably the husband of Ida Langley who is the daughter of Nancy Holland.  But Ida's sister Zena also married a Williams and neither husband's first name is know.  Because he is buried next to Ida and because his date of birth is closer to hers than to Zena's I am guessing he is Ida's husband.

This is Ida Langley, daughter of Nancy Holland who is the daughter of Absalom Holland and Nancy Hales

This is the husband of Smithy Floyd Holland, daughter of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A.

Smithy Holland Barnes, 1873; d. 1944 
 This is Smithy Floyd Holland, daughter of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A., and Willie Grice.  

Rufus Henry Holland, b. 1877; d. 1922 
 This is the son of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A. and Willie Grice.  He is a nephew of Rufus Henry Holland, C. S. A.

Bessie Cagle Barnes, b. 1886; d. 1953 
 This is the wife of Rufus Henry Holland, son of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A.

Simon Holland b. 2-15-1838; d. 3-25-1903 
This is Simon J. Holland, C. S. A., son of Absalom Holland and Nancy Hales.  

Bettie, wife of Isaac Barnes, 10-16-1874; d. 11-24-1912 
This is Bettie Melvina Holland, daughter of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A. and Willie Grice.  She married Isaac Barnes.  

Sophronia Frances Snipes, 2nd wife of K. C. Atkinson, 4-6-1873; d. 1-28-1944

K. C. Atkinson, b. 10-22-1880; d. 11-3-1947 
This is the Kincheon C. Atkinson, husband of Ella Lucinda Holland, daughter of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A., and Willie Grice.

Ella, wife of K. C. Atkinson, b. 7-12-1868; d. 7-18-1914 
"Heaven now retains our treasure, 
earth the lonely casket keeps, 
and the sunbeams long to linger where 
our sainted mother sleeps." 
This is Ella Lucinda Holland, daughter of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A., and his wife Willie Grice.

Maggie, wife of A. C. Evans, b. 10-6-1895; d. 1-23-1915 
This is a daughter of Kincheon C. Atkinson and Ella Lucinda Holland, dau. of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A. 

Mary, wife of Duffie Talton, b. 6-18-1908; d. 11-13-1926 
"She faltered by the wayside and the angels took her home." 
This is Mary Ruth Atkinson, wife of Ellie McDuffie Talton.  Mary is the daughter of Ella Lucinda Holland, daughter of Simon Holland.

Octavia Atkinson, wife of T. A. Amerson, b. 12-28-1885; d. 7-15-1906 
This is the daughter of Ella Lucinda Holland (m. Kincheon Atlinson) and granddaughter of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A.

This is Edna Perneicy Holland, daughter of Simon J. Holland, C. S. A., and Willie Grice.
