Exum's Branch

Lou Ella (called Ella) Holland was born 26 December 1885.  She married Edward J. Sasser and they lived in Smithfield, North Carolina.   She is pictured here with her brother David's two children, Curtis David Holland and Louis Lea Holland (born 1912 and 1914).  Ella died in 1927 at about age 44.   She is buried in Smithfield. 

Ella's lineage: 
James (Jimmie) Holland and Jerutha (Ruthie) White's first child, Elisha;
Elisha's 11th child, Exum (the 3rd child of Elisha's second wife Patie Peacock); 
Exum's 8th and last child by his first Wife, Penniah Boswell, Calvin C. Holland; 
Calvin's 6th child by his first wife, Sarah Jane Ballenberger, Lou Ella Holland. 

Ella's brother David was Calvin Holland and Sarah Jane Ballenberger's 7th child.
These are David's two children by his first wife, Emma Lea Bryant: Curtis David Holland (born 1914) and David Lea Holland (born 1912).
