Standing: James Thomas Holland born 19 April 1845 in Georgia died 7 Sep 1899 in Bell County, Texas grandson of Elisha Holland and Patience Watkins Seated are his sons left:  Parthedos Theodore Holland, called "P.T." and "Perry" right:  James Steven Holland, called "J.S." and "Steve" grandsons of Jesse Holland and great-grandsons of Elisha Holland

Elisha Holland and Patience Watkins' 4th child was Jesse Holland, born about 1795 in North Carolina.  Jesse Holland married Elizabeth Holland in Johnston County, North Carolina, in 1820. The number of children they had is uncertain but it is certain that James Thomas Holland was one of them, born in Georgia 19 April 1845.  James Thomas Holland married Frances Clarinda Nixon and had sons Parthedos Theodore Holland and James Steven Holland born in Alabama in 1867 and 1869, respectively. There is a picture of Frances Clarinda Nixon visiting with her sister Emma Alice Nixon included on the Woodard Holland page of this Album section.  It is included there because it was taken in 1929, long after her husband 'J.T.'
