Roy Macarthur Hopkins born 10 June 1943 in Murchinson, Texas died 23 November 2006 Great-great grandson of Alvin Holland  State representative in Louisiana's House of Representatives.  Roy "Hoppy" Hopkins died at age 63.

Elisha Holland and Patience Watkins' first child was Enos Holland, born about 1790 in North Carolina.  Enos Holland's 4th child with his wife Susan Brown was Alvin Holland, born about 1824 in North Carolina.  Alvin Holland's second child by his first wife Mary Ellen Miers was Francis Matilda Holland.  Francis Matilda Holland was born in 1853 in Alabama, where she married Henry Nathan Maddux.  Francis Matilda Holland's 2nd child was Belle Zoro Maddux, born 1877 in Alabama. Belle Zoro Maddux married Lee Allen Hopkins in Alabama and had seven children with him. Arthur Lee Roy Hopkins, 5th child of Belle Maddux and Lee Hopkins, was born in 1906 in Alabama. The 7th and last child of Arthur Lee Roy Hopkins and Allie Alma Aaron was Roy Macarthur Hopkins. Roy Macarthur Hopkins and his wife Rosemarie Duddeck had two sons, Todd Hopkins and Gary Hopkins.
