9. Warren Hollandwas born in 1807,
and died in 1864, in Wayne County, North Carolina. He married a
Winifred, called Winnie, who born in 1810. Her last name is uncertain.
It has been claimed she was Winifred Skipper and they were married in Columbus
County, North Carolina, but no concrete evidence has been found of this marriage
record. There is a marriage bond for Warren Holland marrying Winnie
Watkins in Randolph County, North Carolina, and this may be the correct marriage
record for him but again, it is uncertain. A picture of this marriage

Warren Holland's will is
filed in the county clerk's office in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Warren and Winny
Holland were included in the 1860 census in Wayne County, North Carolina, along with five
children who were living at home at the time. His oldest child, Uriah, had evidently
already established his own home because his name was not included. Uriah would have
been about 29 years old in 1860.

1. Uriah Holland, C. S. A., was born 9 July 1831. He married Patience Katherine Holland on 23 March 1857. She was born 7 March 1837 in North Carolina. Patience was Uriah's first cousin, being the daughter of his father's brother, Woodard D. and Celia Holland. See Notes section of this web site for further information on this relationship. The marriage took place at Celia Holland's home.
Uriah is listed in the 1860 census along with Patience and their first three children. He served in the Confederate Army during the War Between the States. Information about his war service may be found in the Public Records section of this web site.
Uriah Holland died 18 October 1901 and Patience Katherine Holland died 26 January
1910. They are buried beside each other in the Mercer Cemetery in Spring Hill Township in
Wilson County, North Carolina.27

family lived a few miles south of Lucama, North Carolina in Wilson County. They were farmers
and active members of Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church. Willis was a deacon, according to

conflict. His family lived in Lucama, Wilson County, North Carolina, where Willis had a
barber shop and they were members of Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church.

2 October 1930, the son of Octavia Dixon and Herman Raper. Octavia
Dixon is daughter of Sally Holland
and William Joseph Dixon. Betty Faye Holland and Selby Dixon Raper are third cousins, once

the son of John A. Barnes and Annie Piety Godwin and was born 13 November 1891 in Wayne
County, North Carolina. Bertie and Lloyd resided in Johnston County on a farm given
to them by Lloyd's father at the time of their marriage. Lloyd died 15 March 1942
during World War II. Bertie died 27 September 1983 in Smithfield, North

North Carolina) and Martha Barnes (b. 1816 in Nash County, North Carolina; married 5
