This page is a sub-section of Burdin Holland, C. S. 5. James Henry Burton Holland (called Burton) was born 19 January 1893 in Wayne County, North Carolina. He died 18 April 1952 in Wayne County, North Carolina.  His obituary may be found in the Public Records section of this web site.  His first wife was Lillie Bell Bass of Seven Springs, Wayne County, North Carolina.   They had six children together, one died an infant.  

After Lillie's death at age 28, in 1929, Burton married Estelle Hinson, daughter of David Hinson (born about 1878, son of Wiley Mack Hinson and Elizabeth Delmar, d. before 1926) and Winnie Odham.  Estelle was 16 years old when they married on 5 December 1930, and she most likely assumed the rearing of Burton's five children who ranged in age at the time of their marriage from 7 to 14.  Estelle was born 22 November 1914, just two years before Burton's first child with Lillie was born.  A chart showing the relationships between Estelle Hinson's family and the Burton Holland family is located at the end of his section.

6.  William Henry Holland was born 19 August 1933, in Wayne County, North Carolina.   He married twice, first to Mollie Lee Williford, second to Ruby Elinda Stone.  Mollie Lee Williford was born 14 November 1928, in North Carolina, the daughter of William Bryant Williford and Letha Wiggs (b. 1906, d. 1976).  She died 10 July 1977. 

William Henry Holland married Ruby Elinda Stone after Mollie's death.  It was her second marriage.  She was first married to James Lee Young (b. 28 Oct. 1938, Johnston County) on 31 January 1959, in Johnston County.  They divorced 7 February 1978, in Johnston County; he died 9 July 1982 in Johnston County.  Ruby Elinda Stone and James Lee Young had three children:  Elinda Ann Young, b. 1959; Barbara Jean Young, b. abt. 1961; and James Lee Young, Jr., b. 1964. 

William Henry Holland died 19 March 2003, in Wayne County.  Both Mollie and William are buried at the Jones-Wiggs Cemetery in Johnston County, North Carolina.

7.  David Maxford Holland was born 7 October 1935, in Wayne County, North Carolina, and died 11 December 2001.  He married Alice Louise Potter.  Alice Potter was born 5 July 1945, in Wayne County, the daughter of Hubert Potter and Louise Herring.  David Holland, called Ervin, was buried in Selah Christian Church Cemetery in Wayne County.
Children of David Maxford Holland 

1. Ervin Glenn Holland was born 21 March 1967, in Wayne County, North Carolina.  He married first, Pamela Lynette Teachey on 17 July 1988, in Wayne County.  Pamela was born 15 June 1964.  Ervin Holland and Pamela Teachey divorced in May 1995.  Ervin Holland married second, Tonia Michele Grice on 20 September 1997, in Wayne County.  Tonia Grice was born 22 January 1972, in Wayne County. 
Children of Ervin Glenn Holland and Pamela Teachey:

1.  Brian Holland was born about 1990.

2.  Brook Holland was born about 1992.

3.  David Allen Holland was born 4 November 1998, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

8.  Bert Holland was born 28 December 1937, in Wayne County, North Carolina.  He married Nettie Cecelia  McCullen, daughter of Jasper McCullen and Clara Lee W., on 28 October 1961, in Wayne County, North Carolina. 
Children of Bert Holland and Nellie McCullen:  

1.  David Bert Holland was born 12 April 1964, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

2.  Katrina Ann Holland was born 22 September 1972, in Wayne County, North Carolina. 

9.  Dorothy Estelle Holland was born 1 October 1942 and died about 1943.    

10.  Doris Marie Holland was born 21 February 1944, in Wayne County, North Carolina.   She married Johnny Bernard Young on 23 August 1961, in Wayne County.  J.B. Young, as he is called, was born 12 January 1941, in Wayne County, the son of Vernon Young (b. 1916) and Maggie Elizabeth Myers (1920-2005.
Children of Doris Holland and J. B. Young:

1.  David Michael Young was born 18 June 1962, in Wayne County, North Carolina.  He partnered with Michele Deann Anders, who was born 21 March 1970.
Child of Mike Young and Michele Anders:

1.  Kevin Michael Young was born 11 December 1988, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

2.  Sharon Marie Young was born 26 September 1964, in Wayne County, North Carolina.  She married first, Gilbert.  She married second, Tommy Newsome, who was born 11 May 1955.
Children of Sharon Young and Tommy Newsome:

1.  Tina Kay Newsome was born 5 September 1989, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

2.  Sabrina Fay Newsome was born 14 March 1992, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

3.  Johnny Bernard Young, Jr. was born 27 April 1970, in Wayne County, North Carolina.  He married Mary Elizabeth Stanley who was born 5 November 1974, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

1.  Shannon Marie Young was born 16 October 1990, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

2.  Christina Kaye Young was born 10 April 1995, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

4.  Melinda Kay Young was born 22 October 1977, in Wayne County, North Carolina.  She partnered with first, Johnny M. Tripp who was born 21 January 1976, in Wayne County.  She partnered with second, Larry Nolan Smith who was born 4 December 1974.

1.  Harley Elizabeth Young was born 19 December 1996, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

11.  Annie Rose Holland was born 14 March 1946, in Wayne County, North Carolina.   She married Sammy Moore.  

12.  Ruby Estelle Holland was born 11 August 1948, in Wayne County, North Carolina.   She married Richard Allen Smith.  Dick Smith, as he was called, was born 20 June 1942, in Wayne County, the son of Hollie Smith and Nellie Hill.  He died 24 September 2004, in Wayne County.  He was buried in the Smith Family Cemetery in Wayne County.
Children of Ruby Holland and Dick Smith:

1.  Richard Brett Smith was born 27 June 1966, in Wayne County, North Carolina.

2.  Bobby Allen Smith was born 6 March 1968, in Wayne County, North Carolina.  He married Tonya Dee Walston who was born 27 November 1971, in Wayne County.
