11. Exum Holland was born about 1811.  He died 10 October 1880 and was buried at Elisha Holland Cemetery.  He married 1st  Penniah (Penny) Boswell; they had 8 children together.  

Exum married 2nd Martha Parks.  She was born 8 April 1832, in Johnston County, North Carolina.¹⁷⁸   Martha Parks had five children:  Patrick Dowd Holland, Sarah Jane Holland, Annie B. Holland, Catherine [Isibel F. Holland] and Martha M. Holland.  This page is a genealogy tree of Exum Holland's children with Martha Parks.  Martha died 29 April 1882 at age 50 and was buried in the Patrick Holland Cemetery on Oak Grove Inn Road near Micro in Johnston County, North Carolina.  There is a picture of her gravestone in the Album section of the web site.

10. Sarah Jane Holland was born in 1860. She died in 1939.  Her information is on a separate page.

11. Annie B. Holland was born 9 April 1864 (her death certificate states she was born April 8, her gravestone says April 9), in Bagley, Johnston County, North Carolina.   She died 31 May 1929, and was buried at the Patrick Holland Cemetery in Micro, Johnston County. She married Duncan C. Erp.  They resided in Georgia.  There is a picture of her gravestone in the Cemetery Section of the Album, and a picture of her death certificate in the Public Records section this web site.¹⁷⁸

12. Isibell F. [Catherine (Kath, Kate)] Holland, was born in 1867.  She married Stephen Henry Bagley 10 February 1886 in Kenly, Johnston County, NC.  He was the son of Stephen Bagley and Martha Joyner, and the grandson of Theophilus Bagley.  The Joyners and the Bagleys were prominent slave holding families of that period.  Stephen was born 18 June 1863 in Beulahtown, Johnston County, NC and died 31 August 1945 in Clayton, Johnston County, NC.   Kate and Stephen Bagley lived on the Bagley estate near Bagley, North Carolina.  Kate formerly lived in Micro, NC.  Isibel and Stephen were buried in the Bagley burial plot near Holly Springs Church at Beulah near Bagley in Johnston County, North Carolina. ⁴²

1.  Bettie Myrtle Bagley was born 8 January 1887 in Beulahtown, Johnston County, NC.  She married Preston B. Chamblee 10 May 1910

2.  Beatrice Holland Bagley was born 3 July 1891 in Beulahtown, Johnston County, NC.  She married Warren Willis Lewis 24 March 1914.  Beatrice died 20 February 1967 in Winston Salem, NC.  

3.  Arthur Thacher Bagley was born 9 October 1893 in Beulahtown, Johnston County, NC.  He died 15 December 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska.

4.  Stephen Franklin Bagley was born 24 December 1895 in Beulahtown, Johnston County, North Carolina.  He died there 15 April 1900. 

5.  Walter Clifton Bagley was born 24 March 1889 in Beulahtown, Johnston County, North Carolina.  He died there 18 September 1890. 

After Kate died, on 29 December 1897, Stephen married second Elizabeth Barham Powell, daughter of Erastus E. Powell and Nancy Barham.

1.  Willie Leon Bagley was born 22 September 1898 in Beulahtown, Johnston County, North Carolina. He died 20 December 1986 in Clayton, Johnston County, North Carolina.

2.  Walton Andrew "Pitt" Bagley was born 4 November 1905 near Selma, Johnston County, North Carolina. He died 23 August 1991 in Clayton, North Carolina.

13. Martha (Matt) Holland was born 29 April 1868.  She died 1 April 1917,  She married S. Henry Starling who was born 16 August 1868 and died 21 March 1944. They are buried together in the Patrick Holland Cemetery in Johnston County, North Carolina.   A picture of their headstones is in the Album section of this web site.

[10.  Eula Starling is possibly another child of Martha Holland and Henry Starling.  She was born in 1915 and died 14 May 1917, about six weeks after Martha Holland died.  There is a gravestone in the Patrick Holland Cemetery for such a child but the name of the parents is illegible.  A picture of the gravestone is in the Album section of this web site.  I would welcome any information on this that anybody can give.]  

S. Henry Starling may have married a second wife after Martha Holland died in 1917.   In the Patrick Holland Cemetery there is a gravestone for William M., son of S. H. & Eula Starling with the date 19 November 1939.  This is presumably the date of death.  A picture of this gravestone is in the Album section of this web site.
